Terms of Service
Version 1.0 — Last Updated: May 20, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using PeptideVault (the "Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must not use the Platform. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and PeptideVault.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the Platform after any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. We will notify registered users of material changes via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
2. Account Registration
To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account information updated. You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activities that occur under your account.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. By registering, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. PeptideVault reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or are created with false information.
3. Data License Grant
You retain full ownership of all data and content you submit to the Platform. By voluntarily submitting data — including but not limited to reviews, forum posts, journal entries, transformation photos, and protocol logs — you grant PeptideVault a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, sublicensable license to:
- Store, process, and display your content on the Platform
- Aggregate your data with other users' data in anonymized, de-identified form
- Generate anonymized datasets, statistical analyses, and research insights from aggregated data
- Use anonymized, aggregated data to improve Platform features, algorithms, and recommendations
This license exists solely to operate and improve the Platform and to advance peptide-related research. PeptideVault will never sell your individually identifiable data to third parties.
4. Use of Reviews, Posts, and Submitted Content
By submitting reviews, forum posts, transformation photos, journal entries, or other content to the Platform, you grant PeptideVault the right to:
- Display your content publicly on the Platform (subject to your privacy settings)
- Use your content to generate aggregated ratings, scores, and trend analyses
- Create derivative works such as anonymized summaries, statistical reports, and research datasets
- Share anonymized, de-identified transformations of your content with approved research partners for non-commercial academic research
Public content (reviews, forum posts) may be displayed with your username. You may set certain content to private at any time through your account settings. Private content will not be publicly displayed but may still be included in anonymized, aggregated datasets.
5. Anonymized Data Sharing with Research Partners
PeptideVault may share anonymized, de-identified, and aggregated data with approved research partners, including universities, research institutions, and non-profit organizations. This data sharing is governed by the following principles:
- All shared data will be stripped of personally identifiable information (PII) before sharing
- Research partners must execute a Data Use Agreement prohibiting re-identification attempts
- Shared data may only be used for non-commercial academic research purposes
- PeptideVault maintains an internal registry of approved research partners, available upon request
- No individual user's data will be singled out or made identifiable in any shared dataset
By accepting these Terms, you consent to the use of your voluntarily submitted data for anonymized research purposes as described in this section.
6. User-Generated Content
You are solely responsible for all content you submit to the Platform. You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to submit your content and that it does not violate any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
PeptideVault does not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of user-generated content. We reserve the right to remove, edit, or restrict access to any content that violates these Terms, applicable law, or our community guidelines. Content removal decisions are made at PeptideVault's sole discretion and are not subject to appeal.
You must not submit content that contains medical advice, dosing recommendations presented as clinical guidance, or instructions that could endanger others. All shared experiences and protocols must be clearly framed as personal anecdotes, not professional recommendations.
7. Research Journal Data
The Platform provides a personal research journal feature that allows you to log protocols, dosing schedules, biomarkers, subjective assessments, and other research-related data. Journal entries are private by default and visible only to you unless you explicitly choose to share them.
Anonymized research use: Your journal data may be included in anonymized, aggregated datasets used for research purposes. Before inclusion, all personally identifiable information is stripped, and data is combined with entries from many users so that no individual can be identified. This anonymized data helps advance understanding of peptide research trends, outcomes, and safety profiles.
You may export your journal data at any time in standard formats (CSV, JSON) through your account settings. Your journal data remains yours — the license granted to PeptideVault applies only to anonymized, aggregated use as described in these Terms.
8. Revocation & Data Deletion
You may delete your content and account at any time through your account settings or by contacting us. Upon deletion:
- Your account and profile information will be permanently deleted within 30 days
- Your public content (reviews, forum posts) will be removed from the Platform
- Your private journal entries will be permanently deleted
- Already-aggregated anonymized data will persist. Because anonymized, aggregated datasets are de-identified and combined with data from many users, it is technically infeasible to extract and remove individual contributions from these datasets. This is a standard practice in research data management.
You may also selectively delete individual pieces of content without deleting your entire account. The same principle applies: identifiable content is removed, but anonymized aggregated data derived from that content prior to deletion persists.
9. Privacy & Data Protection
PeptideVault is committed to protecting your privacy. We collect and process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and Legal Disclaimer. Key privacy commitments include:
- We use industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest
- We will never sell your individually identifiable personal data
- We limit employee access to personal data on a need-to-know basis
- We will notify you of any data breach affecting your personal information within 72 hours
- You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you at any time
For users in jurisdictions with specific data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), additional rights and protections may apply. Contact us for jurisdiction-specific information.
10. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to engage in any of the following prohibited activities:
- Creating fake accounts, impersonating others, or providing false registration information
- Submitting fraudulent reviews, fake transformation photos, or fabricated data
- Attempting to re-identify users from anonymized datasets
- Scraping, harvesting, or bulk-downloading Platform content without authorization
- Using the Platform to facilitate illegal transactions or promote illegal use of controlled substances
- Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
- Distributing malware, spam, or malicious content through the Platform
- Circumventing security measures, access controls, or rate limits
- Using automated tools (bots, scrapers) to interact with the Platform without prior written consent
- Posting content that constitutes medical advice or presents itself as clinical guidance
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination, content removal, and referral to law enforcement where appropriate.
11. Termination
PeptideVault may suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Grounds for termination include but are not limited to: violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, extended account inactivity, or legal requirements.
Upon termination, your right to access and use the Platform ceases immediately. Data deletion following termination follows the same process described in Section 8 (Revocation & Data Deletion). You may request an export of your data prior to termination.
Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including but not limited to data licenses for already-aggregated anonymized data, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will survive.
12. Changes to Terms
PeptideVault reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes by:
- Posting the updated Terms on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date
- Sending an email notification to registered users at least 14 days before changes take effect
- Displaying a prominent in-app banner for 30 days after changes are published
If you disagree with the revised Terms, you must stop using the Platform and delete your account before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
13. Contact
For questions about these Terms, data practices, or to exercise your data rights, contact us through the messaging system or at the contact information provided on the site. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 5 business days.
For data deletion requests or data export requests, please allow up to 30 days for processing. Urgent security concerns should be flagged with "URGENT" in the subject line.
